| Details | Dean Martin as secret agent Matt Helm in this sixties British double crown film poster. These were the last two films to be shown at the closure of the Odeon Cinema , Birchfield Road, Perry Barr, Birmingham on Saturday the 3rd of May 1969. The cinema opened on the 4th of August 1930 and was the first Odeon to be built in Birmingham for Oscar Deutsch. During the war a time bomb lodged beneath the cinema but fortunately it was defused by a bomb disposal unit. Mr Deutsch in gratitude had a gold medallion specially struck and presented one to each of the squad entitling them to a free seat for life in any Odeon Cinema. |
