Details This first release British quad form 1962 has printing by S.D.S. Ltd. John Wayne is pictured as "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" - the part played by Lee Marvin as pictured. James Stewart is chosen by John Ford to play the part of the tenderfoot lawyer and both men play parts younger than their years. Pictured at top left is Vera Miles as Hallie who shows concern for the safety of both men. A classic Western with Stewart as the embodiment of fundamental decency and altruism attempting to bring the skills of the attorney and teacher to Shinbone with Wayne symbolising the simple old fashioned Western individual who prefers settling his own problems. One of the most important Westerns of all time.
