| Details | This is the original first release rare British Quad film poster printed in England by Studio Torron Litho (Ltd). The artist is the British artist John Payne the house artist for GALA whose proud insignia complete with horned cherub has been painted at the top right. Payne has an evocative Italian style which is ideally suited to this Jeanne Moreau classic in which she follows her role from the previous year in the Francois Truffaut "Jules et Jim" with a more alluring wanton femme-fatale performance in this "X" certificate film noir. The artist has signed with his unique monogram at the bottom left on what is surely one of the finest artworks of it's type. |
