| Details | We brought this poster back from Ireland. It illustrates how historically quads would be altered if the cinema manager thought he could improve the tag-line of the film - usually with the use of poster paint as seen here. This cinema poster dates from 1944 so the film was shown in the Second World War and life in the Prisoner of War camps would have been of great interest to the civilian population. The film poster was printed in England by Stafford & Co. of Netherfield, Nottingham and London and due to wartime paper shortage the poster has been printed on the back of an earlier stone litho printed film poster which was much larger and the section features characters in an unknown film. The poster has nicks and tears at the edges and a corner replacement at the top right. |
