| Details | Here we have a rare quad with great artwork. Lew Ayres (All Quiet on the Western Front) plays the part of the doctor in this the best working of the classic Curt Siodmak novel. Brain Transplantation, whilst unavailable currently on the NHS, is always a fertile ground for the filmmaker and in this case Felix Feist does not disappoint. Nancy Davis (Ronald Reagan's future wife) ably assists Gene Evans to operate on Lew Ayres. The doctor inevitably has teething problems with his new brain giving rise to a remarkable range of facial expressions (enough to test any actor or war veteran) and further problems arise with the family who find it difficult adjusting to the new behaviour pattern ( a desire to do away with them) |
