| Details | This was we believe Renato Fratini's very first cinema poster artwork. A stylish piece of artwork with that unmistakeable Italian feel. Fantastic use of perspective and colour. The film scripted by Pressburger (without Powell) featured the romance between a roadsweeper John Gregson and an Italian shop-girl looking to emigrate to Canada (played by Belinda Lee) The real star was the young poster artist for this British Quad who many regard as perhaps the finest of all poster artists. |
