We have been working in the film industry for nearly three decades now and we really love our work. The film posters and lobby cards on this web-site have come mainly directly from cinemas or from retired projectionists or their families. Our job is to find the best homes to look after these pieces of cinema history and we have travelled both at home and abroad to procure many interesting items for purchase through this web-site. We also pride ourselves on sharing information about film poster images and artists and indeed the web-site was established as an information only site.
We would like to thank the cinemas who have entrusted us with their archive collections of film posters and lobby cards. Our job is to find the right homes for these important pieces of film history and this website is an invaluable tool to enable this important work.
We have supplied film posters for rental and purchase for broadcast in T.V. programmes including 'Heartbeat'. We have been featured with posters from our collection in magazines and T.V. shows including 'Worcestershire Life' and 'Twentieth Century Collectables'. Film posters have also been supplied to film directors, lecturers and teachers. Our posters are on display at museums and galleries throughout the world and have been supplied to many specialist websites devoted to film and social studies. Original Artwork
We are lucky to have met the artist and photographer Les John who spent a lifetime working for the agency "Downtons" who were trusted with the creation of the artwork used for the production of the film posters for Twentieth Century Fox, RCA Columbia Pictures, United Artists and Rank Film Distributors.
Upon leaving the film industry Les John has devoted his artistic talents to the production of a series of highly original themed Cubist paintings derived from a love of stained glass and nature.
The paintings are all originals and are in pen and ink with watercolour reflecting a desire to seek sanctuary in a world of turmoil.
We are privileged to be offering these one-off paintings exclusively for sale on our web-site.
