| Details | 1966 was not just the year we won the World Cup - it was also the year of one of the best spy film posters ever produced. Super spy Derek Flint poses with true Sixties style with the artist Bob Peak having signed the poster at the butt of the gun. The title typography not only boasts spectacular use of colour but also the flame from the magnificent cigarette lighter which had 83 uses (two-way radio, blow torch etc.) Cool Sixties design extends to the harem of girls and their fashionable outfits plus the most incredible eye with makeup ever featured on a British quad. This particular example is the best we have had and has just returned from Studio C in America where it has had the acids removed from the paper, the fold lines rendered almost invisible and has been backed onto the finest quality linen to preserve it for future generations to enjoy. |
