| Details | The director Wanda Jakubowska and her script writing colleague Gerda Schnerder both survived the horrors of Auschwitz and there is therefore a dreadful honesty about these true events in this one of the first post-war films made about the holocaust. These old front of house photos do have writing on the back including instructions for newspaper publication, notes in pen about the scenes and stamps, some with "Film Polski Warszawa" and full address plus "Plato Films of London" stamps. Rare survivors. |
