| Details | Beautifully coloured rolled film poster with the sunset dreamily drifting across the mysterious galleon and the ravishing Ava Gardner playing Pandora and James Mason the sailor of legend. The design of the poster is enhanced by the texture of the sea permeating the leading stars and their clothing. The poster features an appropriate quote from Martin Scorsese and enjoyed the services of Powell and Pressburger's regular cinematographer Jack Cardiff. A British made fantasy in dreamy technicolour this is the poster from the 2010 Park Circus release of the 1950 classic from director Albert Lewin. Purchased directly from the poster designer. |
