| Details | First release 1950 film poster for the MGM Technicolor film 'Filmed entirely in the wilds of Africa' with two directors, Andrew Marton shooting the African exteriors. The novel on which the film is based was written in 1885 about the search for a lost city and there was a big fascination in the 1950's for the wilds of Africa and for a love story. Featured on the poster are great photos from the film, eye catching title typography and even a jacket shoot of the novel cover. This is the style B American half sheet from 1950 and does have an abundance of pinholes many of which are on the artwork itself. |
