| Details | Great Chantrell car art including a jaguar e-type. The likeness of Barry Newman is spot on as is so often the case with Tom Chantrell - a British artist who was favoured by many studios for his ability to paint a realistic portrayal of the face of the star. Six years later he would be commissioned by George Lucas to improve the film poster for "Star Wars" by making the characters of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia instantly recognisable to assist the toy marketing cross promotion with Kenner. Please note this poster has a 1 1/2 inch paper snag at the right hand border edge which we have repaired on the back with restoration tape. Plus 2x 1 inch conservation strengtheners at cross folds and pinholes in corners, dirt marking at bottom right off artwork. |
