| Details | This rare style Chantrell poster has some gorgeous pastel pink and lilac floral wash and features scenes in detail from the film which can not be found on any other film poster artwork. Particularly interesting is the image of Audrey's coat and hat as used for the film which Geoff Alan "aged" by using a boiling vat, spooning on dye, leaving light patches for the sun fading and then drying in a furnace. The velvet coat became brittle like something from an egyptian tomb - it was then brushed with a few deft strokes from a wire brush! Amazing to discover how the look was achieved. This film poster came from a cinema in Malta and bears a stamp at the lower right. It has enlarged pinholes around the borders. A difficult to find poster and one with a history. |
