Condition of Posters
Every poster is unique, every poster has a character that is reflected in it's condition. Remember these are original cinema used posters. - they have survived a number of years and they bear the physical evidence of their life experience. Nearly all posters have folds due to the folding machine which lay at the end of the printing process run.
Most of these film posters were displayed in the cinema using either sellotape, drawing pins, blu tack or velcro.
Cinema Managers were often issued with the film in a tin together with two or three folded posters on top which the cinema manager would often write the film title on the reverse.
We store our used cinema posters either in acid free browsers, architect drawer plan-chests, folded in boxes or in poster tubes depending on the best method of storage for each individual poster. Where there are closed tears on a poster we repair with acid free archival quality restoration tape applied neatly to the reverse.
Original Poster prides itself on great customer service and fast delivery where possible. We take great care to package all items so that they arrive in the best possible condition.
General condition is expressed as follows: (for specific condition for each poster please see the individual listing and request a condition report.)
| Grade A | Very Good. May have tape marks, pinholes or small tears in the borders or other minor faults as described on the listing. |
| Grade B | Fair. May have splits along the fold lines if mentioned. There may be tears in other areas other than the border which may extend onto the artwork. There may be paper loss or damage affecting the artwork. |
| Grade C | Poor. There may be paper loss, which can easily be noticed. There may be fading or restoration. The poster will be badly damaged and may be partly missing. |
Every piece of art is priced according to it's condition. The photograph on the website is always of the actual poster for sale (it is not to scale). Please ask for a full condition report on any item you are unsure about after looking at the photograph before purchasing the item
Returns
In the unlikely event that you would wish to return any item, for example if the condition or item is not as described we will offer a refund up to 14 days after you receive the item.
The buyer must pay postage costs including return postage. Refunds will be limited to the cost of the item and refunds will be processed within 14 days of us receiving the item back in the same condition in which it was sent.
