Ultra Rare British double-crown film poster celebrating the very first time in England that the Clint Eastwood classics "A Fistful of Dollars" and "For A Few Dollars More" featured together at the cinema. The artwork is classic Spaghetti Western. Later film posters were to feature more embellished artwork for the sequel "For A Few Dollars More" to include the dollars on the poncho for example. Contractual problems meant that although "For A Few Dollars More" was released theatrically in the year 1965 this was not the case in the UK. It was not until April 1969 that this double-bill featured in a London cinema. The director Sergio Leone daringly and brilliantly used extreme close-ups of Clint Eastwood to breath new life into the Western format and the 'Man with no name' had his dialogue cut to add to the heir of mystery surrounding the drifter. Ennio Morricone was instrumental with his amazing minimalist film score. The second instalment "For A Few Dollars More" involved even deeper stylised visuals and dark humour. It cannot be overemphasised what a rare survivor this film poster is and the impact of these films continues to grow as recognition fully evolves around the genre. Often less is more.
This early British crown film poster is in folded condition with just very small corner tip paper restoration infill and brilliant colours.
